This print draws inspiration from 'Chidiya Udd,' a traditional Indian game meaning 'bird fly,' which holds significant value in fostering cognitive skills such as quick decision-making & mental alertness. A cherished memory from our childhood, this game continues to be a favourite pastime even in adulthood.
The colour scheme of the print is influenced by the renowned Blue Pottery technique of our hometown, Jaipur. Blue pottery, characterized by its distinctive use of cobalt blue dye, traces its origins to the 14th century, when Turkic conquests introduced the art to India, a tradition later embraced and popularized by the Mughals.
